Meet Vanessa

Welcome—I'm so glad you're here.

Taking this step to reach out takes real courage, and I want you to know that whatever brought you to this moment matters deeply to me. You might be here because relationships feel harder than they should, or because patterns from your past keep showing up in unexpected ways. Maybe you're sensing that something from your family story is asking to be understood or healed.

Virginia Satir's words guide my practice: our families teach us our first lessons about trust, love, communication, and belonging. These early experiences become the lens through which we see ourselves and navigate our relationships. But here's what I want you to know—those patterns that no longer serve you can be changed.

I work with children ages 6 and up, teens, adults, couples, and families, believing deeply in the power of the family system to create lasting positive change. With young clients, I find particular joy in play therapy, where children can express themselves naturally and process their experiences through creative play. For families, I'm passionate about strengthening relationships and helping develop healthier communication patterns and deeper connections.

I'm particularly drawn to working with individuals who have ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence, including autism, Tourette's syndrome, and sensory processing differences. What fascinates me most about neurodivergent clients is their cognitive strengths—their ability to hyperfocus on tasks that interest them, combined with remarkable creativity and curiosity. These aren't deficits to be fixed but unique strengths to be celebrated and channeled.

In our work together, you set the pace. We'll explore your story with curiosity and compassion, honoring both where you come from and where you want to go. I see therapy as a collaborative journey—you're the expert on your own life, and I'm here to walk alongside you, offering support, insight, and a safe space to explore. Together, we'll identify your strengths, understand your struggles, and work toward the changes you're seeking.

The moments that energize me most are those breakthrough "aha!" moments—when a client, couple, or family suddenly sees their situation with new clarity and feels that collective sigh of relief. I thrive working with clients who bring a growth mindset to therapy, who are willing to participate actively in their healing journey, and who can find even small positives to build upon.

Your healing matters—not just for you, but for everyone in your life. As you grow and transform, you naturally inspire change in your relationships and community. But for now, let's start with you. You deserve to be heard, understood, and supported exactly as you are.

I'm honored to be part of your journey.
